CAVITEX

CAVITEX, officially known as the Coastal Road, is a toll expressway located in the Philippines. It connects Metro Manila to the Cavite province, significantly reducing travel time for commuters and facilitating economic activity in the region. The expressway is a four-lane, tolled road designed to improve traffic flow and accessibility along the southern part of Manila Bay.

Construction of CAVITEX began in the early 2000s, with its initial segment opening in 2008. It is operated and maintained by the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation. The expressway aims to decongest traffic on existing routes and provide a faster and more convenient alternative for residents and businesses traveling between the capital and Cavite.

The toll rates for CAVITEX vary depending on the class of vehicle and the distance traveled. Various entry and exit points are strategically located to serve different areas within Metro Manila and Cavite. The expressway has played a crucial role in the development of communities and commercial centers along its path. Future expansions and improvements are planned to further enhance its capacity and connectivity.
