Böschungsbegrünung, also known as slope greening or vegetation of slopes, refers to the planting of vegetation on artificial or natural slopes. This process aims to stabilize the soil, prevent erosion, and improve the aesthetic appearance of the landscape. The choice of plant species is crucial and depends on factors such as the slope's angle, soil type, climate, and intended use.

Commonly used plants include grasses, groundcovers, shrubs, and sometimes trees. These plants establish root systems that bind the soil particles together, increasing shear strength and reducing the risk of landslides and soil wash-off.
