Butüülamiinide
Butüülamiinide are a group of organic compounds that are derivatives of ammonia in which one or more hydrogen atoms have been replaced by a butyl group. They are classified as primary, secondary, or tertiary amines depending on the number of butyl groups attached to the nitrogen atom. n-Butylamine, also known as 1-aminobutane, is the most common isomer, featuring a straight chain butyl group. Isobutylamine, or 2-methyl-1-propanamine, has a branched butyl group. sec-Butylamine, or 1-methylpropylamine, and tert-butylamine, or 1,1-dimethylethylamine, are also important isomers with different branching patterns.
These compounds typically exist as colorless liquids with a characteristic fishy or ammoniacal odor. They are
