Burmeseamber

Burmese amber, also known as Myanmar amber, is fossilized tree resin originating from the Hukawng Valley in northern Myanmar. This amber is particularly notable for its age, dating back to the mid-Cretaceous period, approximately 99 million years ago. This makes it a significant source of information about ancient ecosystems and life forms.

The geological formations in the Hukawng Valley have yielded vast quantities of Burmese amber, making it one of the most abundant and historically important amber deposits globally.
