Budsjetthoteller

Budstheetjeneste (often colloquially referred to as 'Budsjetthoteller') is a form of low-cost accommodation service primarily found in Norway. It was initially established to provide temporary housing for people experiencing homelessness or those in need of emergency accommodation.

The concept was introduced in 2004 by the Norwegian government with the intention of offering individuals a temporary and secure place to stay. The term 'Budsjetthoteller' roughly translates to 'budget hotel', although the accommodations themselves are often not part of a traditional hotel setup.

Budasjetthoteller usually consist of a network of private apartments, houses, or rooms made available by local residents. These can range from simple rooms to fully furnished apartments. Participants are usually reimbursed for their expenses by the Norwegian state, which helps to offset the costs associated with hosting these individuals.

Hosts often receive a modest stipend for their efforts, covering the costs of food, accommodation, and other expenses.
