Bränsleräls

Bränsleräls, or fuel rail, is a crucial component in internal combustion engines, particularly in fuel-injected systems. Its primary function is to deliver fuel from the fuel pump to the fuel injectors. The fuel rail is typically a hollow tube or manifold, often made of steel or aluminum, that runs along the intake manifold or cylinder head of the engine. It acts as a reservoir, maintaining a consistent pressure of fuel before it is sprayed into the combustion chambers by the injectors.

The fuel rail is connected to the fuel pump via a fuel line and is also connected to each fuel injector, usually through small O-rings or seals that ensure a leak-free connection. A pressure regulator is often integrated into or attached to the fuel rail. This regulator is responsible for maintaining the correct fuel pressure within the rail, returning excess fuel to the tank if the pressure exceeds the specified level. Modern fuel injection systems rely on precise fuel delivery, and the bränsleräls plays a vital role in achieving this. Its design and material are important for durability and resistance to fuel and heat.
