Bruceiis
Bruceiis is a genus of marsupials belonging to the family Pseudomyrtaceae. This genus is native to Australia and includes several species of small to medium-sized trees and shrubs. These plants are characterized by their distinctive bark, which is often papery and peels in thin layers, and their foliage, which can be aromatic when crushed. The flowers are typically small and white or cream-colored, followed by small, often edible berries. Bruceiis species are adapted to a range of Australian environments, from arid inland areas to coastal regions, and are often found in sandy soils. They play a role in their ecosystems as a food source for native fauna and as habitat. The genus is named in honor of Australian botanist and conservationist Bruce McHarg.
