As of the latest taxonomic revisions, Britozygantha is recognized as a monotypic genus, with only one accepted species, Britozygantha angustifolia.

Britozygantha angustifolia is a perennial herbaceous plant that grows up to 1 meter in height. It has narrow, linear leaves and produces inflorescences that are up to 10 centimeters in diameter. The plant is known for its attractive flowers and is occasionally cultivated in gardens for its ornamental value.
