Brinelähteet

Brinelähteet are natural springs that discharge briny or salty water. The term "brinelähteet" is of Swedish origin, translating to "brine springs." These geological formations occur when groundwater interacts with underground salt deposits, such as halite (rock salt), or when ancient seawater is trapped within rock formations and later emerges at the surface.

The salinity of brinelähteet can vary significantly. Some may have a salt concentration similar to seawater, while others can be much saltier.
