Brasile

Brasile is the Italian name for the country commonly known in English as Brazil. In Italian-language texts, Brasile is used as the proper name of the nation, and residents are described as brasiliani. The national language is Portuguese.

The name Brasile derives from the same historical root as Brazil, linked to the brazilwood tree (pau-brasil) once valued for its red dye, which gave the country its name.

Brasile is located in eastern South America. It is the largest country on the continent and shares borders with most other South American nations, with Brasília as its capital. The country is known for its extensive ecosystems, including the Amazon rainforest, the Cerrado savannas, and a long Atlantic coastline. Portuguese is the official language, and the country is characterized by significant cultural and linguistic diversity, including numerous indigenous communities and immigrant influences.

Historically, the area was colonized by Portugal from the 16th century.
