BoyArDee is a brand of canned pasta products, most famously known for its canned spaghetti and meatballs. The brand was founded in 1924 by Herbert Bierman and Charles Atlas, who initially sold their products under the name "Chef Boy-ar-Ardee". The name was inspired by a popular vaudeville performer, Boyd D. Ardee. The company was later acquired by American Home Foods in 1940, which eventually became part of ConAgra Foods.
