Bohrungssegmente, also known as drilling segments or borehole segments, refer to individual components used in the construction of modular drill pipes or casing strings in the oil and gas, mining, and geotechnical industries. These segments are cylindrical, hollow metal tubes designed to be connected end-to-end to form continuous drill strings or casing pipes, facilitating deep drilling operations.

The primary function of Bohrungssegmente is to transmit rotational force and hydraulic pressure from the surface to the drill bit or downhole tools. They are typically made from high-strength steel alloys to withstand extreme pressures, temperatures, and mechanical stresses encountered during drilling.
