Blockkondensatoren

Blockkondensatoren, also known as power entry modules or EMI filters, are electrical components that combine a fuse holder, a switch, and an EMI/RFI filter into a single unit. They are typically installed at the point where power enters an electronic device or system. The primary function of a blockkondensator is to suppress electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) generated by the connected equipment from radiating outwards and also to prevent external interference from entering the device.

The EMI/RFI filter section of the blockkondensator usually consists of capacitors and inductors arranged in a specific configuration. These components work together to attenuate unwanted high-frequency signals that can disrupt the proper operation of sensitive electronic circuits. The fuse holder provides overcurrent protection, safeguarding the equipment and the power source from damage due to faults.
