Blødgøringsdispensers

Blødgøringsdispensers, often referred to as water softener dispensers, are devices integrated into household or industrial water softening systems. Their primary function is to precisely introduce a predetermined amount of regeneration solution, typically brine, into the water softener's resin tank. This regeneration process is crucial for restoring the ion-exchange resin's capacity to remove hardness minerals like calcium and magnesium from water.

The dispenser mechanism usually involves a brine tank where salt is dissolved in water to create the brine solution. A control valve, often electronically controlled or mechanically timed, meters the flow of this brine. When the water softener's control head senses that the resin bed has reached its saturation point and can no longer effectively soften water, it initiates the regeneration cycle. During this cycle, the blødgøringsdispenser draws brine from the brine tank and directs it to flow through the exhausted resin.

The concentrated salt solution displaces the accumulated hardness ions from the resin, effectively recharging it. After the brine has passed through, the system rinses the resin bed to remove any residual salt before returning to normal service. The efficiency and accuracy of the blødgøringsdispenser directly impact the overall performance and longevity of the water softener, ensuring a consistent supply of softened water while minimizing salt and water waste.
