The Biowaffenübereinkommen, also known as the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC), is an international arms control treaty that prohibits the development, production, stockpiling, and acquisition of biological and toxin weapons. Its full name is the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Stockpiling of Bacteriological (Biological) and Toxin Weapons and on Their Destruction.
