The payment instruction is authenticated by the payer’s bank, transmitted to the recipient’s bank, and processed through clearing and settlement systems. After processing, funds are credited to the recipient’s account, and the payer is billed for any applicable fees. Fees and exchange rates vary by bank and by whether the transfer is domestic or international.

Security and compliance are important aspects of bankasending. Banks require verification of the payer’s identity and monitoring for suspicious activity to comply with anti-money laundering and sanction regimes. Errors in recipient details can delay or misdirect funds, so accuracy is essential. Overall, bankasending is a widely used, versatile mechanism for moving money between bank accounts.
