Babinskin
Babinskin refers to a primitive reflex observed in infants, specifically the outward fanning of the toes when the sole of the foot is stroked. This reflex is typically present from birth up to approximately 12 months of age. The presence of a Babinski reflex in adults or older children is considered abnormal and may indicate an underlying neurological issue, particularly damage to the corticospinal tract, which is involved in voluntary motor control.
