BUFDIR

Bufdir, short for Barne-, ungdoms- og familieetaten, is a directorate in the Norwegian government responsible for policy, guidance, and services related to children, youth and families. The agency develops national policy, issues regulations and guidance for municipalities, and coordinates national programs intended to support children and families. It also oversees aspects of the child welfare system and works to safeguard children's rights and well-being.
