BLACKleft is a political term used to describe a segment of the Black community in the United States that aligns with left-wing political ideologies. The political views associated with BLACKleft often include support for policies such as affirmative action, reparations for slavery, universal healthcare, and robust social safety nets. There is a strong emphasis on critiquing capitalism and advocating for wealth redistribution. Environmental justice and LGBTQ+ rights are also frequently central concerns within this political framework.

Historically, the Black community has shown a strong tendency towards progressive and liberal political stances, with the Civil Rights Movement being a major catalyst for this. BLACKleft can be seen as a continuation and evolution of these long-standing political traditions, often emphasizing a more radical or intersectional approach to activism and policy advocacy.
