BIP1

BIP1, or Bitcoin Improvement Proposal 1, is a document that outlines the design and implementation of Bitcoin, the first decentralized digital currency. It was proposed by Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin, and was published on October 31, 2008. BIP1 serves as a foundational document for the Bitcoin network, detailing its core principles, including the proof-of-work system, peer-to-peer network, and the incentive structure for miners.

The proposal introduces Bitcoin as a system for electronic transactions without relying on trust.
