BIMympäristö

BIMympäristö is a Finnish term that translates to "BIM environment" or "BIM ecosystem." It refers to the comprehensive framework of tools, processes, standards, and people involved in the implementation and utilization of Building Information Modeling (BIM) within the construction and built environment sector. This encompasses the entire lifecycle of a building or infrastructure project, from initial design and planning through construction, operation, and eventual demolition or renovation.

The core of a BIMympäristö is the digital representation of a project, commonly referred to as the BIM model. This model contains not only geometric information but also data related to materials, performance, costs, and scheduling. The BIMympäristö facilitates collaboration among various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and owners, by providing a common data environment (CDE) where information can be shared, managed, and updated efficiently.
