BETelmélet is a Hungarian term that translates to "BET theory" in English. It refers to the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller theory, a model used in physical chemistry to describe the adsorption of gas molecules onto a solid surface. This theory is particularly useful for understanding multilayer adsorption, where gas molecules can form multiple layers on the surface.

The BET theory is based on the assumption that the adsorbed molecules form layers, with each layer being energetically equivalent to the bulk liquid of the adsorbate. The theory also assumes that adsorption occurs on specific sites on the solid surface, and that the interactions between adsorbed molecules within a layer are negligible. The BET equation is derived from these assumptions and relates the amount of gas adsorbed to the pressure of the gas at a given temperature.

The BET theory has found widespread applications in various fields, including materials science, catalysis, and environmental science.
