B2Bohjaus

B2Bhojhaus refers to a type of large communal dining hall or rest house, commonly found in India. The term Bhojhaus is derived from the Hindi language, where 'Bhojan' means food, and 'Aas' or 'Haas' is a gathering place. As a result, a Bhojhaus can be roughly translated to a 'dining hall' or'resthouse'.

Historical context places B2Bhojhaus in North India, particularly in Delhi and the surrounding regions. These structures were primarily used as resting places for travelers, traders, and salespeople. The establishment of B2Bhojhaus became a necessary aspect, especially during the reign of the Delhi Sultanate and the Mughal Empire.

Serving as centers of lodging and dining for short-term travelers, B2Bhojhaus felicitated business associations through novel systems of food and lodging sharing, presenting their concept of B2Bhoj or Collaboration. This covered social commitments aimed at vendors and traders coming from different parts of the country, and led their business associations under Bhojhaus which were helmed by traders or other interested business partners.

The communal dining set-up at B2Bhojhaus strengthened business bonds formed between vendors, traders, farmers, and other related organizations. This form of Bhoj or food sharing stood as a conduit between businessmen, vendors and manufacturers for formal discussions of trading terms, predictions for profit, and predictions for loss involved in transactions.
