Békásmegyers
Békásmegyer is a residential district in Budapest, Hungary, located in the northern part of the city within District IV. It is situated on the western bank of the Danube River. The area is characterized by its large panel housing estates, which were built primarily in the late 1970s and 1980s as part of a large-scale socialist housing program. These estates, known as "panelházak," house a significant portion of Budapest's population.
The district is divided into two main parts: Békásmegyer Ófalu (Old Village) and Békásmegyer Újfalu (New Village).
