Azzerata is an Italian term that translates to "zeroed out" or "nullified." It is primarily used in financial and accounting contexts to describe a situation where a value, debt, or account balance has been reduced to zero. This can occur through various means, such as full payment, write-off, cancellation, or a specific accounting adjustment.

For example, a debt can be azzerata if the debtor pays off the entire outstanding amount. Similarly, an asset or an account might be considered azzerata if it is deemed to have no residual value and is written off the books. In inventory management, an item could be azzerata if all units are sold or disposed of, leaving no stock.
