Azimut

Azimut, or azimuth in English, is the angular measurement in the horizontal plane between a reference direction and a target, typically measured clockwise from north. It is used in navigation, astronomy, surveying and mapping to specify direction or bearing. For celestial observations the azimuth is combined with elevation to locate objects in the sky; in navigation it defines compass bearings.
