Avslutningen

Avslutningen is a Swedish noun meaning the ending, conclusion, or closing part of something. It is the definite form of avslutning, derived from avsluta “to finish” with the -ning suffix that forms nouns of action or state. The term is used in Swedish and Norwegian to refer to the final portion of a process, work, event, or discourse.

In literature and film, avslutningen denotes the final portion of a narrative—the denouement or closing sequence. It is used in analyses and synopsis to discuss how tensions are resolved and themes are wrapped up. In journalism and academic writing, it can describe the concluding remarks or the final section of a text.
