Austeniteetit is a rare and intriguing geological formation found primarily in volcanic regions, characterized by its distinctive crystalline structure and metallic luster. The term is derived from the Greek words *austenos*, meaning "strong," and *titos*, meaning "given," referencing its robust and enduring nature within rock formations. Though not a widely recognized mineral in standard geological classifications, austeniteetit is often associated with certain types of basaltic and andesitic lava flows, where it forms as a secondary mineral during cooling and crystallization processes.

This formation typically appears as small, needle-like or tabular crystals embedded within volcanic glass or groundmass.
