Ausgelaugte

Ausgelaugte is a participial adjective form derived from the German verb auslaugen, meaning to leach out or to extract soluble substances by washing with a liquid. In technical usage, the term describes materials from which soluble constituents have been removed by a leaching process. The most common English equivalents are leached or, in some contexts, exhausted, but the latter should be used cautiously to avoid confusion with general fatigue.

In practice, ausgelaugte is used to characterize a solid residue or material that has undergone leaching.
