Augustenborg
Augustenborg is a town located on the island of Als in the southern part of Denmark. It is situated in the Sønderborg Municipality, within the Region of Southern Denmark. The town's history is closely tied to Augustenborg Palace, which was once the residence of the Dukes of Augustenborg. The palace, though now smaller than its original form, remains a significant landmark.
The origins of Augustenborg date back to the 17th century when the area was known as Stavnsbøl.
In more recent times, Augustenborg has undergone changes, including the redevelopment of the former naval hospital
