AstanaNurSultan refers to the capital city of Kazakhstan, which has undergone name changes. Initially founded as Akmolinsk in 1830, it was renamed Tselinograd in 1961. In 1997, it became Astana, the new capital of Kazakhstan. In March 2019, the city was renamed Nur-Sultan in honor of Nursultan Nazarbayev, the country's first president.
