Ariulfo
Ariulfo was a medieval king of the Lombards, reigning from 671 to 672 AD. He was the son of King Perctarit and succeeded his brother Godepert. Ariulfo's reign was marked by internal strife and external threats. He faced rebellion from his own brother, Grimoald, who eventually overthrew Ariulfo and became king himself. Ariulfo's brief reign is notable for the political instability it brought to the Lombards, a period of turmoil that would continue under his successor, Grimoald. Ariulfo's rule is often overshadowed by the more tumultuous reigns of his predecessors and successors, but he remains an important figure in the history of the Lombards, a people who played a significant role in the early medieval period of European history.
