Aramites
The Aramites were an ancient Semitic people who inhabited ancient Syria, Mesopotamia, and northern Arabia. Their name is derived from Aram, a legendary ancestor often mentioned in biblical genealogies. Historically, the Aramites played a significant role in the region, particularly from the Iron Age onwards. They established several prominent kingdoms and city-states, including Aram-Damascus, Aram-Zobah, Aram-Ma'acah, and Aram-Beth-Rehob.
