Antibiootilta is a Finnish term that translates to "antibiotic resistance" in English. It refers to the phenomenon where bacteria evolve to become resistant to the effects of antibiotics. This resistance makes infections harder to treat, as the medications that were once effective are no longer able to kill or inhibit the growth of the bacteria. Antibiotic resistance is a significant global health concern, leading to increased mortality rates and higher healthcare costs.

This includes promoting responsible antibiotic use, developing new antibiotics and alternative treatments, improving infection prevention and control measures, and raising public awareness about the issue. Global cooperation and coordinated efforts are essential to effectively combat this growing threat to public health.
