Amplitúdómodulált

Amplitúdómodulált is the Hungarian term for Amplitude Modulation (AM). It is a modulation technique used in electronic communication, most commonly for transmitting information via a radio carrier wave. In amplitude modulation, the amplitude of the carrier wave is varied in proportion to the message signal being transmitted.

The process involves a carrier signal, which is a high-frequency radio wave, and a message signal, which is the information to be sent (e.g., audio from a microphone). During amplitude modulation, the strength or amplitude of the carrier wave is changed according to the instantaneous amplitude of the message signal. This means that when the message signal is strong, the carrier wave's amplitude increases, and when the message signal is weak, the carrier wave's amplitude decreases.

The resulting modulated signal contains the original carrier frequency along with two sidebands, one above and one below the carrier frequency. These sidebands carry the information from the message signal. At the receiving end, a demodulator is used to extract the original message signal by detecting the variations in the amplitude of the received radio wave.

Amplitude modulation is one of the simplest forms of modulation and was historically the first type used for broadcasting radio. While it is susceptible to noise and interference, which can distort the amplitude and thus the demodulated signal, its simplicity makes it suitable for certain applications, particularly in simpler radio receivers and for some two-way radio communications.
