Alþýðulisti
Alþýðulisti, which translates to "People's List," was a political party in Iceland. It was founded in 1984 by a group of individuals who had left the People's Front of Iceland, a communist party. Alþýðulisti aimed to unite various left-wing factions and appeal to a broader electorate than its predecessor. The party positioned itself on the socialist left, advocating for policies such as social welfare programs, environmental protection, and nuclear disarmament.
