Alþingislag
Alþingislag refers to laws passed by the Althing, the national parliament of Iceland. The Althing is one of the oldest parliamentary institutions in the world, with its origins tracing back to the Viking Age. When a bill is proposed in the Althing, it goes through a legislative process that involves debates, committee reviews, and voting. If a bill successfully passes through all stages of this process and receives royal assent (historically from the Danish monarch, and now from the President of Iceland), it becomes an Alþingislag.
