Aldborough
Aldborough is a village and civil parish in the Hambleton district of North Yorkshire, England. It is situated about 4 miles east of Boroughbridge and 6 miles south of Ripon. The village lies on the A162 road. Historically, Aldborough was the Roman town of Isurium Brigantum, the capital of the Brigantes tribe. Archaeological evidence of its Roman past is still visible today, including sections of Roman walls and mosaic pavements.
