Albaea is a coastal city-state on the western shore of Valora, a temperate region in the world of Dendra. It is known for white limestone architecture and a sheltered harbor that has long served as a commercial hub.

Geography and environment: The city occupies a natural bay with coral reefs protecting the harbor; nearby hills provide timber and grazing. The climate is mild, with hot summers and wet winters, supporting agriculture in the surrounding hinterland and steady maritime activity in the port.

History: According to chronicles, Albaea was founded in the early first millennium BCE by the seafaring Arin, a lineage said to have navigated the coast.
