Akseptansetesting

Akseptansetesting, also known as acceptance testing, is a software testing activity focused on validating that a system meets the business needs and contractual requirements of the customer. It is performed from the perspective of the end user or customer and aims to determine whether the product is ready for deployment or release.

Before testing begins, acceptance criteria are defined, typically derived from user stories, contractual obligations, or regulatory requirements. Test cases are created to verify each criterion. The tests are executed in a staging or customer-like environment, often by customer representatives, product owners, or business users, with QA support. Results are compared against the criteria; a pass indicates readiness, while a failure results in defect reporting and possible rework until criteria are met.

Types of Akseptansetesting can include User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Operational Acceptance Testing, and Regulatory Acceptance Testing. The exact scope varies by organization or contract and is driven by the intended use and any compliance needs.

Timing and outcomes: Akseptansetesting is typically performed after functional and integration testing and before production release. It provides formal sign-off from the customer and helps ensure the delivered system aligns with business goals. It is not a substitute for internal testing, and unclear criteria or insufficient test data can hinder the process.
