Akrahreppur
Akrahreppur was a rural municipality in northern Iceland, located in the Skagafjörður region. It was established in 1994 through the merger of the former villages of Hofsós and Sauðárkrókur, along with the surrounding agricultural lands. The municipality encompassed a significant portion of the eastern side of Skagafjörður, known for its scenic fjords, mountains, and fertile farmlands.
