Aitolahti

Aitolahti is a district in Tampere, Finland. It is located in the northwestern part of the city. Historically, Aitolahti was a separate municipality until it was merged with Tampere in 1966. The name Aitolahti is derived from the Finnish words "aita" meaning fence or enclosure and "lahti" meaning bay or gulf.
