Agnipariksha
Agnipariksha, literally meaning "trial by fire," is a concept found in ancient Indian literature and mythology. It refers to a ritual or ordeal where a person, typically a woman, undergoes a test of purity and chastity by walking through or handling fire. The belief was that if the person was innocent and pure, the fire would not harm them.
