Aftermast
Aftermast is a term used in nautical contexts, particularly in sailing, to refer to the period or state after a mast has been removed or has fallen. This situation can arise for several reasons, including damage to the mast, routine maintenance, or the decommissioning of a vessel. When a mast is removed, the boat is left without its primary means of propulsion and stability, fundamentally altering its sailing capabilities.

In some instances, "aftermast" might also describe the structural modifications made to a boat after a mast
