Adonalsiums

Adonalsium is a primordial entity central to the cosmere, the shared fictional universe created by author Brandon Sanderson. It is described as the original, all-powerful creator of the universe, existing before its inception and containing all of its potential. At the dawn of creation, Adonalsium was shattered into sixteen pieces, known as Shards. These Shards are sentient fragments of Adonalsium's power and personality, each embodying a specific aspect of the original entity, such as Preservation, Ruin, Honor, or Cultivation. The current inhabitants of the cosmere, including humans and various other species, exist on worlds that were formed from the remnants of Adonalsium's shattered being. The pursuit of understanding, controlling, or recombining these Shards is a recurring theme and a major driving force behind the narratives within the cosmere. The nature and ultimate fate of Adonalsium remain largely mysterious, serving as a foundational myth and a source of immense cosmic power.
