Adjektiivimääreet
Adjektiivimääreet refers to adjectival modifiers in Finnish grammar. These are words, typically adjectives, that describe or qualify nouns, providing more specific information about their characteristics, qualities, or states. In Finnish, adjektiivimääreet agree with the noun they modify in case, number, and in the comparative and superlative degrees, also in the definite or indefinite form. For example, in the sentence "punainen talo" (red house), "punainen" is an adjektiivimääre describing "talo". If the noun changes case, the adjective also changes accordingly, such as "punaisessa talossa" (in the red house), where "punaisessa" is the inessive case of "punainen".
