Aastatuhande

Aastatuhande is a term that appears in some Estonian-language texts to denote a period of one hundred years. However, it is not part of the standard Estonian vocabulary for this concept. The usual word for century is sajand.

Etymology and usage

The form aastatuhande appears to be a compound built from aasta (year) and a form related to tuhande, but as a combined word it is not widely accepted in standard Estonian.
