Aapka

Aapka is a Hindustani possessive determiner meaning "your" when addressing one person with a formal or respectful tone. It is used before a noun to indicate possession, and its form agrees with gender and number: aapka for masculine singular (aapka ghar), aapki for feminine singular (aapki gaadi), and aapke for masculine plural or polite plural (aapke log).

The word aap on its own is the formal second-person pronoun used to say "you" in respectful address. Aapka literally means "of you" or "your."

Usage: Aapka is common in writing and speech where politeness is expected, such as conversations with elders, service interactions, and formal discourse. It contrasts with informal forms like tum or tera/teri; usage depends on context, relationship, and regional norms. In Hindi and Urdu alike, the same possessive endings ka/ki/ke attach to the noun they modify.

Scripts and transliteration: In Devanagari, आपका; in Urdu script, آپ کا / آپ کی / آپ کے. Romanization renders it as aapka, aapki, or aapke.
