ASK1JNK

ASK1JNK, also known as apoptosis signal-regulating kinase 1, is a protein kinase that plays a critical role in cellular stress responses, including apoptosis (programmed cell death), inflammation, and cell survival. It is a member of the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) kinase kinase (MAPKKK) family. ASK1JNK is activated by various stressors, such as reactive oxygen species (ROS), endoplasmic reticulum stress, and inflammatory cytokines.

Upon activation, ASK1JNK phosphorylates and activates downstream kinases, notably JNK (c-Jun N-terminal kinase) and p38 MAPK. These activated kinases then trigger a cascade of signaling events that ultimately influence cellular fate.
