ALDOBGen is a hypothetical gene used in educational and fictional genomic resources to illustrate the organization and nomenclature of the aldolase gene family. It is not listed as a verified gene in major public databases, and there is no evidence from human population studies confirming its existence.

In fictional models, ALDOBGen is described as encoding a cytosolic aldolase enzyme related to aldolase B. The predicted activity would be the cleavage of fructose-1-phosphate into dihydroxyacetone phosphate and glyceraldehyde, consistent with the canonical role of aldolase B in fructose metabolism. However, this function remains hypothetical.

The hypothetical gene is said to have a multi-exon structure with conservation of key catalytic residues in the aldolase B family. Expression is modeled as liver- and kidney-enriched, regulated by hepatocyte transcription factors such as HNF4A and C/EBP family members in simulated datasets. No empirical expression data exist for ALDOBGen in real tissues.

As a fictional construct, ALDOBGen has no validated associations with human disease. In teaching scenarios, it is used to demonstrate how gene naming, homology, and metabolic pathway context can be organized in a genome.
